Sam Baldwin brings significant financial planning experience to the team at Spencer Financial. Prior to joining the practice, Sam was a financial consultant for Sovereign Bank where he worked with over 1000 individual clients. Prior to Sovereign, Sam worked for the Boston mutual fund company, Massachusetts Financial Services (MFS). At MFS he provided guidance to other financial advisors on mutual funds, variable annuities, and investment strategies.
Sam is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and an Investment Advisor Representative. He has licenses to offer Life, Disability and Long-Term Care insurance. Sam has completed advanced courses of study through Boston University in financial planning, risk management, investments, taxation, and estate planning, making him an ideal resource for retirement solutions.
Following Moses Brown School, Sam graduated from Franklin & Marshall College (B.A. in business, Kappa Sigma Fraternity) where he played lacrosse and rugby, once playing a rugby match on the same field where the battle of Gettysburg took place. Born in Boston, he is a lifelong Red Sox fan, and, after the miracle season of '04, recognizes that everything else in life is just icing on the cake.
